Flowers As I See Them Series- Miniature Paintings
I have always adored flowers. From a young age I would pick wild violets out of my backyard and make a mini bouquet to give to my mom. I loved how my mother lit up with surprise and always got a tiny container to put them in so we could enjoy them for a little while.
This series was inspired from my youth, as I loved to draw flowers with my crayons and markers. I would make birthday cards out of my drawings and give them as gifts to my family.
All of my "FAIST" paintings are created on 3" x 3" or 4" x 4" cradled wood. I use high quality acrylics, inks, collage elements and sometimes found objects and beads. All have hangers on the back so you can enjoy them right away. You could also display on tiny easels which look super adorable. They really look quite lovely in groupings as well. Occasionally I will paint them in larger sizes, but mostly this series will be small format art.
