Happy Flower Garden

Reimagined Garden

This piece began with an artwork I discovered at a thrift store—and I couldn't resist giving it a completely new life.

I painted over the original image and transformed it into my own colorful, whimsical garden, combining acrylic paint, collage, and layers of mixed media. Each flower is individually created, with its own personality and texture, while the centers of every flower were made using my Gelli Plate. The result is a lively mix of color, pattern, texture, and a little bit of happy chaos—the way I like my flowers to be.

I love the idea of taking something that has been overlooked and reimagining it into something completely different. Rather than starting with a blank surface, the original piece becomes part of the story, hidden beneath all the new layers of paint and collage.

The finished artwork is presented in a gray driftwood-colored frame with a hanger on the back and will be finished with a gloss varnish to enhance the color and protect the surface.

One-of-a-kind original artwork. Reimagined, repainted, and given a whole new garden to grow in.
